Q

How do a limit an Internet search to a specific domain or .edu, .gov or .org site?

I need to find reliable websites for an assignment. I was told I could not use websites with a .com or .net domain.

Answer

In Google, to limit your search to a specific domain, type your keyword(s) into the search box, followed by the words site:.org (or .gov, .edu, etc.).

For example, a search for government websites related to nutrition would look like this:

nutrition site:.gov

A search for organization websites on sports would look like this:

sports site:.org
